Hi Sally, I was busy watching the you tube thing. cute!
Nah, its leftover from a plain cream coloured sock in the same brand of yarn. All that plain cream colour shows up any little uneven stitch more than I like, so I thought i'd use it up this way. Sort of a way to burn through the leftovers.
